About Us

ButterBears cloth diapers is a family based business located in the Adirondacks (Upstate New York). We are located in a small town that sits on the Hudson River called Corinth, NY.

The name Butterbear came about from our youngest daughter. In 2008, we had a baby boy join our family and our daughter, seven at the time, began to call him "Bud" or "Buddy". This soon transformed into "Buddybear", "Budderbear", "The Budster", "Bud Bud" and several other names that derived from "Bud".

Shortly thereafter we began making cloth diapers. We needed a name that was fitting for these cloth diapers. The name "Butterbear" was a huge hit. We all felt that this was a great name even though it was slightly different than Budderbear.

All of our products are made in the USA. We not only search out the raw materials needed to produce high quality cloth diapers, but we also employ local people to help create and distribute our products.
We are currently in the works to supply our cloth diapers in several children's boutique outlets.

The Butterbear product line is also continuing to grow. While we continue to establish our Butterbear cloth diapers, we are constantly designing new items to add to our merchandise line. If this is your time here, check back soon as we have several other items in the works.
